Christmas is my favorite time of year and it does not hurt my feelings that some stores have decorations up as early as October. I do try to self-discipline with my Christmas iTunes playlist but the season officially starts for me when I hear Vince Guaraldi start playing "Linus and Lucy" from the Peanuts Christmas special.
The title track for the album is just a fun reminiscing of my childhood. My grandfather was the main Santa Claus in our little town in Iowa. He started taking me fishing when I was really young. Those were days I looked forward to and whenever we had days off from school I would ask him if we could go fishing. And when he was passing out candy to all my friends and classmates at Christmas time I had to be really careful and not call him "Grampa."
